LED Flashlights

A new hobby of mine is LED flashlights. These aren't your father's flashlights! These lights use li-ion batteries and crank out ALOT of light. So much so that you could be temporary blinded if you look into them on high power. Whereas a 4 D cell Maglite may put out about 75 lumens, my big 7 LED light puts out over 3000 lumens!

The Big Daddy of my lights, the Trustfire TR-J18. Puts out over 3000 lumen and it is like daylight when you fire it up at night. Uses 7 LEDs and 3 26650 or 3 18650 li-ion batteries. To compare, a 4 D cell Maglite puts out 75 lumens. A 2 D cell Duracell LED Daylite puts out 125 lumens. Has the standard 5 modes, HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW, STROBE and SOS.
End cap on/off. Switches the 5 modes. 7 high power LEDs.
Light disassembles easily. Trustfire rates it at 8000 lumens but in real life it is more like 3000. Still...
Heat sink fins to keep it cool. Light is a good flood light.
Three of these puppies power the J18 for a long time. Each battery is 3.7 volts, 5 amps.
These are 18650 batteries, 3.7 volts, 4 amps. 18650 batteries salvaged from an old laptop. Almost all laptops use the 18650 batteries. Many times the laptop is junked but the batteries are still good.

Uniquefire UF-T20, a one cell 18650 zoomable (flood to throw), 1200 lumens. Has 5 modes.

My old 4 D cell incandescent light. The 2 D cell Duracell Daylite LED light.
Trustfire comes with all this for less than $80.  This actually was my father's flashlight!! It is a 6 volt "Big Beam" with rear flasher.
My 10,000,000 candle power search light. Runs on a 12 volt lead acid battery and is quite bright. But it weighs alot and is not an led light. My Power-to-Go spot light.
